An apostille is possible for all countries that have signed the Apostille Convention. There are currently more than 120 countries that have joined the convention, including all countries of the European Union, the United States, Canada, Australia and many other countries around the world.
In the Middle East and North Africa, for example, Bahrain, Morocco, Oman, Tunisia and Turkey have joined the convention. However, for many other countries in these regions, full legalisation through the embassy is required.
We always check whether your country of destination is part of the Apostille Convention and advise you on the correct procedure. This prevents you from spending unnecessary time and money on full legalisation when an apostille is sufficient, or vice versa, thinking that an apostille is sufficient when full legalisation is required.
